Is this Victorian edwardian badge with lugs

So I read some of the threads about when slides were added to badges so is this Victorian or edwardian then ???

It is exactly correct in the way it has been made. The lugs would be aged black by now so I think it has been chemically cleaned to bring it back to the pristine appearance that you see.

So this is another one that came with it so this is Victorian or edwardian type but this one looks Silver and why does it have a brooch pin at the back it would be far to big to be a sweetheart badge and the loop is split sonic takes the pin ?? If the loop fell off wouldnt it be simpler to replace the loop ??? And did they make them with silver plate

It's a sweetheart conversion, you'll also find them with the loop cut off and used as the catch on the shortened cut off stub, or the tub completely removed and used, or the C on an oval pad like the pin and soft soldered on.

Also worn on the lapel of a civilian jacket as a veterans or mufti badge.
