Default australian army stable belts

Hi all
Not badges as such but interesting and maybe the link is that it has the image of the badge on the front.
A selection of Australian army stable belts.

Does anyone know what other unit stable belts WITH BUCKLES are out there?
I know there is the sas, was there a commando?

Anyway, I have 3 for trade (10 LHR, UNSW, and NORFORCE) for any I don’t have or for another AAMC and/or nursing corps.
PM me if you can help
Cheers
BC

Default Stable belts

Hi BC,

Just saw this collection - fantastic...there’s also AABC, CDO SIGS, SASR, OCS, and RWAR. There was also a couple more versions of the early RACT ones (British versions used by us).

Best regards,

Mike

G'day BC

Hey that's a great collection, thanks for sharing. I know the trouble a mate of mine, ex 8/9 RAR had in getting an RAR one for him self.

Regards Phil.

thanks all
i really collect the buckles more than the stable belts.
since the original post in 2013 i have added a CDO, SASR, RWAR and a couple of other aussie buckles.
we have also lost one of our colleagues and a chap i corresponded with and traded with numerous times over the past 20 odd years. i often think of sauma and still enjoy looking at pics of his fantastic collection.
bc
BTW i am still looking for an aussie sigs buckle and anything else not listed or shown. let me know what youve got. happy to buy or trade

its been awhile adding to this post and if you look back we have lost 2 fellow collectors along the way.
having said this, i have added this belt to the collection and very pleased to have it. only been searching for over 15yrs.
Commando Regiment/126 Signal Squadron stable belt.
does anyone have any information on this buckle? when it was worn and was it just by the 126 sigs attached to commando rgt?
thanks in advance

Have a look at http://stablebelts.co.uk/ which has a good section on Australian (and NZ) stable belts.

I have a Commando Regiment/126 Signal Squadron stable belt. Black over green with dark buckle with RASIGS badge. 20 made in the late 80s I think.

Great thread. I like buckles too and have only a few, but for units I like or those given to me by the person who wore them. I am planning a display with my wartime BRCS/Nurse buckle as the centerpiece. This is a rather plain thing, but I love it knowing what it is. You can see it at far left center. Thanks Steve!!!

My other buckles are a QARANC and a QARNNS and a LI buckle. So not many I know, but do like them for my areas of interest.

Terry
