Default Cameron Highlanders officer Glengarry

Very pleased to have picked this superb example recently, and for a VERY good price.
The seller did not picture the badge, and I was again pleasantly surprised to find it a silver officer badge and the only one ever affixed to the Glen.
Note the rosette, unique to the Camerons. I believe the Glen to be circa ww2 by the construction and materials. Named as well.

CB,

6143312 Douglas ROBB was commissioned from the ranks into the Cameron Highlanders as 2nd Lt (293615)on 15.8.1943.

Became Captain and was MID for Italy (I think) in London Gazette 29.11.1945.

He would therefore have been in their 2nd Bn.

regards

Well, good heavens! I never thought it could possibly be identified to the original owner. Thanks so much for that Simon! That makes it all the better.
