I have a couple of querys :-
What pouch badge was worn after the amalgamation with the Civil Service Rifles ? The crowned double shield that was worn on the cap boss, does it come with a QC or was the KC retained ? Many thanks |

It's a badge that looks like the gurkha type crown and feathers, the shoulder belt has a large version of the double shield cap badge, I'm sure Wilf will fill you in better.

Yes but the belt badges have been altered, this lot came with brand new buttons as a group that was split but I was lucky enough to reunite a couple of months later, wilf has the badges in situ on the belt.

Thanks.
I have seen a QC black brass cap badge with a QC lower crown and an image from the Rifles museum of a silver QC Crossbelt badge but a KC lower crown. Makes me think it's had the crown doctored. |

My have been altered for the coronation, I read somewhere they only decided on the new crown about a month before if I remember correctly. |
