Canadian Infantry Cap Badges-CEF or WW2?
I picked up these two in a local auction. I would welcome help in deciding if they are WW1 or WW2. The 22 Regt badge is marked TIPTAFT on the reverse.
Many thanks Mark |

Hi Mark, Both badges are CEF (First World War). The 150th was from Montreal (as noted on the badge) and were recruited by the 65 Carabiners Mont Royal of the Canadian militia. The 22 Battalion badge is a FWW badge. Note it is the variety without the battalion number on the badge.

Bill,
Many thanks. Does the 22 Regt without the badge make it more unusual or just a common variant? thanks again Mark |

Hi Mark, The pattern without the numerals is harder to find than the pattern with them. The badge is in exceptional condition, and the Tiptaft mark makes it a Brit made badge. But it is not a rare badge.

I don't know if I paid under or over the odds I think they work out at about £20 each-too much?
