Default 6th (HAURAKI) Regiment

Hi all (not my badge) am afraid have looked up Military badges of the British Empire by Reginald Cox, not really much on this badge.

For starters just how old is this badge as rear shows a very bright appearance, I like that there is a small rectangular plate to Gaunt so does this help date it?

Any other information would be helpful, what would it sell for? and is this a common badge or scarce, will pass onto owner so he can make up his mind as to what he does with it! It might be that he is acceptable to swapping it for OSD Collars?

All the best and many thanks Billy

I believe it’s WW1 vintage but happy to be corrected as NZ isn’t my area. I picked one of these up off eBay a few months ago for £16. They sell for more on U.K. dealers sites.

Hello Billy.

For me it seems good World War one. With Gaunt maker's mark.

To morrow ANZAC DAY!
