Patch with BCOF connection

Hello all

My cousin was recently going through my uncles old army trunk that hadn't been opened in over 30 years.

My uncle served in the BCOF from 1946 to 1949. Amongst the odds and ends there were numerous badges and patches that have been easy to identify.

One patch remains unidentified, it is on blue felt and the emblem appears to be made with gold bullion thread. The backing appears to be typical Japanese of that era.

Any suggestions to identify the patch would be greatly appreciated.
