Default Royal Berkshire regimental silver?

Hello All,

Recently acquired, a hpc (assume silver plated) with collar badge affixed to top, this situated on what appears to be a silver lid from ‘something’ (a bowl perhaps). A very professional job! Anyone have something similar?

There may have been a backing plate fitted behind the HPC?

Is there a gap between the ring at the back and the badge at the front? if so it is possibly a Mess table holder to hold a menu or a place sitting name card. Tim.

Hi Tim,

Yes, there’s a gap along the top half of the hpc. A card fits in nicely!

I can confirm that you have a menu holder - probably used at Mess Dinner nights.
I also have a couple of 49th of Foot Glengarry Badges Pre-Territorial Era 1874-1881 mounted on a ring and stand. The space twixt glengarry and ring holds the menu
