Default A New Years Resolution??

Identifying questionable material. A highly suspect tunic. http://www.ebay.com/itm/WW1-Canadian...item2c6b57c60d

As are the rest of his offerings. No surprise from this particular seller though.

Default Not CEF

...looks more like an interwar summer service dress, not CEF...have pictures of my grandfather wearing something similar circa 1941.

I quite like it. Although the buttons are early and the rank badges are late this is very typical of a WO1 tunic. I would date it to the 30s.

Problem with the rank badge. The proper badge for this tunic was the metal royal coat of arms. That pattern of worsted badge was not issued until later than the time periods mentioned in the listing or in the comments.

I agree that the description is flawed. As to the rank badge. I am pretty sure I have a photo of two GGFG WO1's wearing this pattern, one of whom wears this cloth badge on the lower sleeve (while the other wears the large RSM's badge on his upper sleeve.) The photo is dated 1940.
