The Royal Canadian Regiment
I am a collector of badges to The Royal Canadian Regiment (The RCR). I have posted photos of many of the badges in my collection on my own website here. A few examples follow:

Greg, the single centre lug, in this case supported by a very short "slider" at the top was apparently used on the full dress Wolseley helmet. This allowed for a single hole to be made in the puggaree and helmet, rather than two. The Regiment's newest badges for use on the helmets also have a single centered attachment - a screw post.

|
The only wear of the helmet these days is with ceremonial dress. The only band in the Regiment right now is the Second Battalion's Pipes and Drums, and they don't wear the Wolseley helmet (glengarries and feather bonnets).

Here is one I have, I believe 1894 pattern made by Tiptaft Birmingham.

I do not have many R.C.R. badges and the ones I have are featured on Mike's site from his collection so cannot add much, I do however have a couple of Brodies one is the type with the battalion flash painted on the front the other which I picked up not long ago is a badged version. I also have a officers tunic from the WW1 period found locally a number of years back in New Glasgow N.S. Anyways here is a couple of shots of the tunic and the badged Brodie.

Hi Dwayne....those two hats above have the WW2 Officers badges on them....One of them was worn by Lt Joe Nolan before he went over the 1st Hussars...I,ll try and scan it for you....M.

One question about the tunic do you know who it was worn by? I always thought the red stripe on the overseas stripes was for the boys who went over in the first year of the war. P.S. do you have the mask that goes in the bag over his shoulder? that is a scarse peice. Stephen
