What is his cap badge ?
Hope someone can help with this cap badge - my best guess is London Rifle Brigade ?
Screenshot 2020-09-14 at 19.38.16.jpg It's taken by John Bailey , a local photographer in Southampton who disappeared from the scene after 1907. My best guess it was during Army camp held on Southampton Common in 1904 /1905. A whole British Army Corps was gathered there for training , with Sir John French leading the "enemy" side. |

Just can't make it out clearly enough, but it is not the London Rifle Brigade.
It has a six point star design which could indicate several regiments, rather more like the Devons or RASC in my opinion. CB

He is wearing the cap badge of the Army Service Corps, the three tier shoulder titles are of a pattern that was introduced in 1908.
