Just come across Neil's post which may help me explain why the one shown at the top of the attached scan is w/m not silver. If as Neil says the one he shows belonged to a sergeant, can we assume that this officer style badge (without feathers denoting officer rank) was also worn by senior NCO's in w/m. Any further evidence?

I echo Neil's comment about quality. If my badge is kosher (not just a clan badge), I haven't personally seen the same quality in many of those purporting to be solid silver officer's badges.
