Default EARLIER WIRELESS AIR GUNNER BREVET.

Hello all,
Could this be an original Canadian made unofficial WAG brevet?
Thank you,
Dominique

This type was based on the 1942 pattern wing, although the WAG is the only one of the 'set' that does not appear to have been authorised. But it was worn and I have an example as I'm sure others do.

It looks fine to me, there is nothing on it to make me think repro.

Yes they are good. Temporary pattern sometimes called before all the half wings changed with a crown and RCAF added. Nice badge.

This is a Canadian made tunic for an RNZAF Officer by the name of Pilot Officer Stewart Sinclair, 18th June 1943.

Good afternoon guys,

Reading this thread with interest, I would like to add this please. It looks like the 'WAG' Distinguished Flying Badge was indeed authorised for use, however, possibly for the RCAF only going by the AMO????

I have attached a copy of the AMO for your perusal. The info is towards the bottom under A.1291 - RCAF Air Crew Badge.

Yours Aye

Johnny

There were many different patterns of interim wings before the official ones were "standardized" Your example is a fine original

Thanks a lot Mike.
Your comments are always much appreciated.
BTW may I ask you for your thoughts about the pilot's badge the picture of which was recently posted on this very forum?
BR,
Dominique
