Badge for Good Shooting - Volunteers
Good day folks
I believe this to a sleeve badge for Good Shooting (Volunteers) 1860s - 1880s. I have been able to find other examples on a red ground but not dark green (or possibly dark blue). Is this just the form of dress or does it denote a type of unit. How many grades were there? Many thanks James |

James,
Its background colour denotes the colour of uniform worn by the corps. Most RVC dressed as Rifles in either green or shades of grey. There were 4 grades, no star, one, two and three. If you wish to sell it please PM me. regards
