given the effort to provide a highly informative description of the group, the eye was taken off the ball regarding the typing on the slip. as far as I am aware the typing on RAF slips and boxes was always rendered in capital letters ( I am happy to stand for correction, always willing to learn ). two things spring to mind,
a) the group was submitted to auction by a nefarious individual hoping for a
nice little earner but nothing really lost if caught out, or
b) an unsuspecting person has caught a cold
it does not help when the auctioneer only provides a single image for reference.
