Default Lt Commander badges

Gents, I know very little about RN badges. These came into my possession recently. A pair of I believe Lt Commanders rank badges. About an inch across and marked as made by Gaunt on the rear.

Any info greatly received.

Bess

These are for the rank of full Commander, not Lt Commander. Lt Cdr would have an half-stripe in the middle, not a full stripe.
Other than that, I have no idea what these are for.
Cheers,
Alex

My uncle who transferred from the RN to the RCN sent me a lot of different rank badges of this type back in the 60s. May be worth asking on the Canadian part of the forum.

Gentlemen, thank you for information. They do not really form part of my collection unfortunately, so if anyone is interested in them, please do PM me.

Thanks again chaps
