Default Australian slouch hat

Good evening,

I need your advice about this slouch hat. The Rising sun badge wears the King's crown but seems brand new

this particular badge was in gilt so looks shinier than you might expect. the hat looks fairly new and quite possibly a private purchase type, as already stated, and look for markings on the sweatband as the issue versions are always marked afaik. the issue pug bands are usually marked but these can be switched.

The badge looks ok to me. Just a very nice condition 1948-53 period Rising Sun badge.

Thank you for your comments. I don't know if there are marks because this hat is proposed by a French dealer, and I needed your advice before biding

the hat looks post WW2.
looks to me anywhere from the 1950s-1970s
but without a date on the sweatband who knows?
as the others have already said, the badge is good, 1948-53 period
