Identifying an Australian WW1 Uniform

Hello,
Hoping someone can identify this Australian army uniform.

We know that he was Australian, with 60th Signallers on enlistment. A Private, member of the 7th Infantry Battalion, Egypt.

Transferred to the Australian Army Postal Corps, promoted to Corporal, following service in England. We do not know if this is the family member associated with the photo hence seeing if the uniform matches his army history.

Welcome to the forum.

Your uniform looks to be that of an officer, and to my eyes he has Royal Artillery collar badges, making him most likely British and possibly mid to later in the war judging by his lack of cuff rank.

Many Australians took commissions in the British Army however.

The white over blue signals armlet suggests that he is the brigade signal officer.

60th (2/2nd London) Divisional RE

The divisional RE particularly sought artisans and volunteers from various local engineering works and gained a number of recruits who had returned to the UK from engineering jobs overseas in order to volunteer.

On January 29th, 1918, The Times reported the visit of the High Commissioner for Australia to the Australian Base Post Office which had recently been set up in an old brewery on the Kings Road in London.
