Sussex Volunteer Training Corps
Good afternoon
What to you think about this badge? It does show some wear and a feint clamp seam on the slide Many thanks Martyn |

Hi Martyn,
I'm no expert, but it looks okay to me. Often, the fakes will have lugs and very thin lettering- just look online. There''s one I'm happy with in my album. KR, Pete. |

Martyn,
Just to add my 'vote of confidence' to Pete's; I believe your badge to be good. When you look in Pete's album you'll see a die flaw between the bottom right hand side of the shield and the scroll which your badge does not have. One can speculate that your badge is from earlier in the production run, whilst Pete's is from later, but we'll never know. I have seen badges in both states, and some in between... The birds are far better detailed than in the reproductions, which also have skinnier script. Best regards, Tim |
