I agree with Alan that it’s genuine. However from the slider I wouldn’t have thought it was an early badge.

It's definitely genuine, but, like Luke, I would have it as a later example and one of the more commonly available.

This is my badge which I believe to be an earlier example. Nice rectangular braze holes and slightly tapering slider.

Think I have an example of this badge with a separate GM scroll, attached by tabs. I assume the described method of construction would be early?
