Hi Gus-Gemma,

I have the badge recorded in a few documents but the most important being:

1. This badge was replaced with the Royal Regiment of Artillery cap badge by recommendation via the 136th meeting of the War Office Dress Committee on 23rd March 1961. See page 4 of minutes labelled as 149A and held in file WO32/14391 at the National Archives, Kew.

Regards

Chris

Chris
I'd go along with that. I have never seen or heard of a large pattern. I have the smaller beret badge in both AA and an OSD example.
I can send you a photo of the Flint and Denbigh. Do you want it on a scale or plain background?
I can also provide a Caernarvon & Denbigh if needed.
Hwyl,
Kevin

William,
Thanks for posting the larger size Pembs Yeo AA. I've never seen one before.
Another case of we learn something every day.
The smaller ones I have are just under 34mm high.

Hi Guys,

All the badges listed in post 1 I consider to be officially authorised for issue and bulk manufactured. This is all based on official documentation that I have accumulated from official sources.

William - your badge looks good to me.

re: images etc. - I may be able to get a large group of those outstanding photographed by a professional photographer with most of the badges being taken from a very advanced collection. If no go on this front I will be back for images from another sources.

Regards

Chris
