I know I'm making a zombie thread, but thanks so much for posting this. I've just bought one of the badges listed on that article (the WW2 undated badge) and this was page is the only decent resource on the subject that I've found on the web. Now I need search no longer.

Thought I'd add to this thread with an Auction lot which finished today and is local to me. Didn't get chance to inspect the badge attached to the front of the Hospital book personally but using the zoom facility it appears to be sewn directly to the cover and has suffered some mothing. Doesn't appear to be factory made to my eye and wondered if anyone had seen anything similar.
Apologies if anyone on the Forum won this item, I saw it last minute and was unable to get a bid on in time.

Many thanks for the image, certainly appears the same pattern, lot sold for £70 plus commission which I would imagine is a good price.
