5TH Welch Black & White titles
this picture appears to show them wearing the black & white title for 1st bn from WWII, but this picture is clearly labelled 5th bn and is post war.
I notice in BonB that the two examples shown both have the THE in front of Welch Regiment, not seen on the example I have. I cant quite decide if the THE is shown or not.

to me, logic dictates that to ape the Welsh Guards the Welch replaced, then they would not use the THE

I had hoped someone would have an opinion on why 5th Welsh are post war wearing the white on black titles generally considered to have been worn exclusively by 1st welch in 44/45.

Have you thought that the 2 people with 1st Bn s/ts might be the Regular PSIs?

And ex 1st bn? There are three with the titles that I can see, including what I assume is an officer in the centre, obviously one is a Sgt, not sure of the rank of the other soldier wearing them.
