Default Plastic ATS

I picked up a plastic Ats at the gunshow this weekend. It has a makers mark on the slider but all that is legible is ------ LTD BHAM... Can anyone help with the maker? Thanks Jim A

If it is the same as mine it reads "JR&L LTD B'HAM" on the slider.

All 254,000 plastic ATS badges were made between 18-04-42 to 05-09-45 by Jarrett, Rainsford and Laughton Ltd.

I'm not aware of a "Wallis" maker mark on plastic badges, do you mean "A Stanley & Sons, Wallsal"?

I was under the impression that all 'Plastic' Cap Badges were produced with thin brass blades and not Sliders, and that the makers mark was impressed into the back of the badge. Is this not the case with the ATS badge? and if so what other badges were produced with sliders?

Any chance of a picture of one (rear)?

Not all manufacturers marked their badges, and there are unmarked badges by manufacturers who usually did mark them.
The RA gun and RAPTC badges are also slidered.

Those 2 were made with brass sliders where as the ATS had a plastic one. The only other slidered one that I know of is the Q/C KRRC which had a brass sldier as well.
