Default Flying Suit Badge - Date?

I have this patch which I believe is a flying suit badge of the Empire Test Pilots School. What would be the age of this item. I thought 1960s?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

Kind regards, Malcolm.

The arms were officially granted on September 7, 1949.
