Correct Royal Ulster Rifles for HG Phase 2
Jon will probably be the one to answer this as my question comes from his book on the Home Guard. I have looked through all of my reference books, but am still not sure if this is the right badge for the Royal Ulster Rifles badge worn by some of the Irish Home Guard units or if I need to get the harp without the angel.
Can someone please advise me because according to my books both types of badges are connected to the Royal Ulster Rifles? Many thanks! Terry |

Hello again Terry,
The badge illustrated is from Duty Without Glory by David Orr, an excellent history of the Ulster HG, both 1940s and 50s, was worn in the 1950s. The badge worn by the UHG during WW2, also illustrated in the book pg34, was without the angel. All best Steve |

Many thanks Steve! I was hoping it was the right one, as that is what I got it for. I do have a nice WW2 badge for them as well as their lapel pin.
