Default Help with thes badges

I am currently re-carding my Canadian badge collection and trying to put them in order of when they would have been worn, Great War, WWII and post WWII which included King's crown and Queens crown, however I have a few that are not included as far as I can see in my copy of Babin and Canada's Army in World War II by F.R. Tripp.

The first group of badges:-

Royal Canadian Engineers, KC, GvR I think was worn between 1932 up to and after GviR 's Coronation, is this correct?

31st British Columbian Horse, KC, is this correct and was this worn pre Great War?

Black Watch, KC, copper/brass metal

Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, copper/brass metal

The late Hugh King told me the last two were Canadian, but not what period they were worn.

Thanks for looking and hoping my queries can answered.

Rob

31st BC Horse looks good. Other ranks' cap badge. Canadian Militia (not CEF). Worn pre 1920. There should be a Gaunt plate on the reverse.

Question Help with these badges

Has anyone got any information on the Black Watch and the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders?

These badges have always seemed a bit of a mystery, maybe militia?

Thanks for looking.

The brass Black Watch has been attributed to the 42nd and 73rd Bns Canadian Expeditionary Force.

Default A&SH

Rob, I don't think the A&SH badge is Canadian. The Canadian A&SH badge usually has the front facing Cat's head in its badges.

Yours looks like the British badge.

Default Argyll and Sutherland in Brass

Thanks chaps for your thoughts on this badge, I do have a white metal A&SH with the cat's face in the centre, the brass A&SH I was told by Hugh King was Canadian.

Scottish all brass badges were deemed to be fakes apart from the Royal Scots Fusiliers who always had G/M as their badges, could this badge be a previous one worn before the cat?

Those brass A&SH with the big bottomed squirrel like cat are repros.

Luke, those big bottomed squirrel like cat are as you say repros, not actually checked my badge's cat for a big bottom but I will bear that in mind.
I have had this badge for a good number of years, but that makes no difference.
Thanks again.
