The collars in bullion remain a mystery as I,ve not seen them in photos before but appear to be made at the same time as the cap badge..quality,pattern and aging seem consistant with the cap badge...nice set, too bad no one had the forsight to write down the former owners particulars.

As a side note I have some photos of the NCO'S of "D" Company(LONDON) Infantry School Corps, and there appears to be no insignia worn at all except a large brass "D" on the epaullette of the pocketless wool tunic. We also have here a Snider 3 band rifle, marked "D" above I.S.C on the brass tang along with I.S.C. stamped in ink on the buffleather sling.
Undoubtedly an old London Ontario Infantry School Rifle of the earliest type used by the Corps. |

Michael, it will be my pleasure to host a viewing. I'm certain we both know a couple of the 4th Battalion's officers who would also like to see them.

Hi MIke,
I was very pleased to have the opportunity to show off the bullion badges to a few members of the Regiment the other night. A get-together for another showing would certainly be welcome. And I do still have that helmet. Mike |

While surfing for badge images, I found the following:
The Officers of "C" Company, Infantry School Corps, Toronto. "The Dominion Illustrated News". February 7, 1891, p. 134. Link to National Archives of Canada record |
