Default 107 LAA Regt RA

This is the attractive and very sought-after unit sign adopted by 107 LAA Regt RA. The Regiment was formed by the conversion of 14th Bn Royal Fusiliers on 1 Jan 42 and was disbanded on Malta on 30 Jul 44.

Default Today's FWAG.

Good afternoon.

Not my area at all, but FWAG, with that profile, a Macchi C202 Folgore, but somehow the tail outline just isn't quite right.

Discuss.

Enjoy.

Very Nice Mike, I am trying to narrow down my cloth badge collecting to AA units and this is one for to keep my eye open for. Thanks for posting

I think that it's a fusion of two aircraft which would have been seen all too frequently over Malta - Macchi 202 nose and Ju 87 Stuka tail (as has been stated) - with the star shaped burst of an AA shell superimposed. Similar imagery was used on the sign for 8 AA Div. Mike

Mike,

Possibly the most diplomatic answer I think there has ever been on the Forum.
