Unknown SMG carring case

Does anyone know what this case is for, it fits a taken down sten but is loose, it fits a MP40 but is tight. It is not marked inside from the manufacturer but it is marked in pen "Parachute".

Purchased in a lot of WW2 British/Cdn webbing and other carrying cases and action covers.
