They were worn until c. 1830 but I believe they were introduced prior to 1820. Could be wrong! David |

Yes last pattern, I believe used from 1902 till amalgamation with 7th.

Hi Chaps
As "Beau 90" says, they are the last pattern worn but they are believed to have been introduced in 1904. They were also worn beyond the 1922 amalgamation as the two regiments maintained separate regimental squadrons for several years, until fully integrated. So, the buttons were actually worn until c.1929/1930. David |
