Default 2x RA Officer grenade badges question.

Picked these two up this morning, an OSD and a gilt version of the Royal Artillery grenade collar badge, can anyone confirm if these two particular types of badge have been or are worn on any form of head dress?
Thanks Tony.

Tony,
The 2nd Bn. Liverpool Scottish when they were R.A. wore this design of collar badge on the TOS on a Forbes tartan backing but I don't know which metal it was.

Peter, thankyou, can you put any dates as to what period the Liverpool Scottish would have worn this insignia?
Cheers Tony.

Fairly sure the or brass and gilt types were worn on the khaki side cap, beret and GS cap in WW2

Never seen the large gilt one in any head dress, they were for the white Number 3 Dress which was rarely worn.

If they are the same size that would be correct, however the one on the right looks smaller which would make it an OR's collar which was also worn as a cap badge.

Thomas there is a difference of 2mm between the Bronzed 49mm and the Gilt 47mm badge, I've attached another image, including a GM OR's collar/cap badge, this is much smaller.
Regards Tony.

The 2mm difference doesn't make it an OR's, Marc was right all along.
