RA side cap badge or not?
Whilst mooching around the Liverpool fair this morning, I notice for sale a khaki side cap badged to the Royal Artillery.
The badge in the cap was a Sergeants arm badge, left facing????? I've always took it as read, the badge used on this type of headdress is the grenade collar type! Any ideas on this? Worn by Sergeants? Have included an image of the type of badge used. Thanks Tony.

Sleeve badge
This is a sergeants sleeve badge worn above the 3 stripes by all sergeants.
(as far as I can remember.) It would more likely to be a collar badge on the side cap. Bill |

Bill, this confirms my original thoughts on this one.
Cheers Tony.
