I did look with a search engine but mostly found "foreign" MHS's: Military Historical Society of Australia, New Zealand Military Historical Society, Military Historical Society of Massachusetts etc.

The only information that I found for THE Military Historical Society was given by the British Army & had a contact address c/o The National Army Museum.

David has provided details for the SAHR whose journal does not, in my experience, carry many articles about badges, it is mostly (very good) mil hist.
Yes, THE MHS is c/o NAM but the web link I provided has full details.
