London Rifle Brigade QVC plate
Not being familiar with these, I am not sure if it is genuine. I also am not sure if the center should be blackened, or correct as is. Thanks folks, CB

I know the Glengarry badge they wore came in a white metal, without the back plate.
I have two of the plates you show, one QVC the other KC and both are blackened on the plate and the attachment. I can't remember seeing an example the same as yours, but I may be wrong and looking at yours it does appear to show very small traces of a previous blacking. All said, your badge looks fine to me. Rifle Brigade
British army badges site has a couple of these for comparison and described as 1st London VRC shako plate as KK1588 if that helps.

Yes of course Mark, absolutely correct.
I've had somebody else's head on for the past couple of days and forgot to replace it with mine. Regards. Brian |

Thanks all,
I did think it to be good, but glad my suspicions were correct. I see also that these were made with a WM center, which confused me as all the ones I had seen were blackened throughout. CB
