Hi Mike
I see things are working out for you. The Inniskilling and Tank Corps look good to me and I'm leaning toward the others being good also but I'm no expert. Tank Corps should always be slidered and the Inniskilling fakes have an extra row of bricks in the central tower of the castle.

Cheers Paul.

Hi Mike
Like the Tank Corps and 16th Lancers and the 17/21st seems ok. Not to sure about the Greys and the Skins(though I'd like to think it is fine maybe it is). Don't like the Fife & Forfar....that J.R.GAUNT B'HAM mark?

Nice Smith & Wright Ltd Motto...... I would like to see a better photo of the slider (at an angle). Could you measure the length of the slider from the bend please and also the width of the slider... many thanks.

Hi Mike

All line Cavalry & Tank Corps look good, not so sure about Yeomanry Badge.

The 2D Greys badge looks to be a nice early example, are those flat loops as fixings? a side view would be appreciated.

Regards
Rob

For me, if offered them would only consider the bottom three than the top. I'm under the impression that Inniskillings should have voided windows. Same opinion on the Gaunt mark as said above. I never touch them myself. because even original Gaunt marks on sliders are post WW1, and out of my area. Although there are a few that were done on some few samples as I've seen on here. But in general I seer clear myself.

All this my own buying habits, and don't ditch on my account.
Simon.

I think I was told the earlier patterns had windows pierced. Griff your right though on second look. I missed the sweats. I have my screen turned down to save on battery power.

I stand corrected.

Default Cavalry Badges

Hi Malc

Looking at it the tips they have been overlaid to make them look like spear tops, the badge was like this when I got it.
Please have another look, at this photo check the right tip (back of badge) you can see the point underneath.

Cheers Mike.

Hi Mike
As Rob said a nice honest badge but the tips have been repaired it looks like 9th lancers tips have been used as the 16th/5th tips are brass.
All the best
Malc
