Queen's University Belfast OTC
Just thought I would share a picture of my KC QUOTC cap badge. I would love to see any other examples in member's collections - cap badges/ shoulder titles/ anything to Queen's OTC

Picture 43 of my "Piper's badges" album shows a Queen's UOTC Pipers large cast cap badge. QC. Not seen another one.

Very interesting, Ian. I've known a couple of pipers at Queen's, but as far as I'm aware they only ever wore their own caubeen with the standard cap badge for parades and memorials. What are the dimensions?

Nice. I have several staybrites, though they are all maker marked 'Firmin'
Do you know when the silver one dates from? I also see a cheeky KC on the left too.

Love those metal shoulder titles. That's the first time I've seen the 'Belfast [OTC] University' title. Very nice piece. Any idea on dates?

QUEEN'S OTC RANK SLIDES
Some variations on the rank slide titles.

Here are a few contemporary items. The rank slide with no stripe is for b-coy, and worn in conjunction with the blue beret. When officer cadets pass phase 2, they graduate to a-coy and are presented with their caubeens which have the blue hackle (for St. Patrick) worn behind the cap badge, they also receive a rank slide with one stripe. Two stripes are for the officer training wing. In between the caubeen and beret is the stable belt, which is worn 'green to grass'.

I believe there is also a multi terrain pattern rank slide.

I thought this type of crown is Victorian.
