Default Shoulder Title questions...West Yorkshire...

Hello All,

Been away too long, and have come back with loads of questions.

When did the West Yorkshire Regiment switch from a brass shoulder title that reads W YORKSHIRE, to one that reads W YORK? I know that brass came in about 1908 (thank you, the archives), and I'd guess with the full name title, but what year was it shortened?

Many thanks in advance,

K

Thanks, I had it precisely backwards. I thought they'd be saving metal.

Regards,
