is this royal engineers volunteers badge worth repairing?
im going to repair and sell it or just sell it.

I think you should leave it to the new owner, perhaps they would rather it was left as is, but that's just my opinion.

It looks great as it is, not the original fixings but part of the badge's history.

I think the cost of the removal of the solder and pin and the addition of new (not original) loops would be far to costly exercise on what is a scarce but relatively low value badge.

Just sell as is and you will probably make more profit than you would by incurring repair costs and then selling.

I agree with the consensus, sell it as and leave to the new owner to decide what to do with it.

I personally prefer them as they come, apart from perhaps a gentle clean, it is all part of the badges history,
