Interesting Mounted Badge...... Boer War ?????
Good Evening Everyone.....
Rec'd these badges today, they were advertised as possible Boer War..... They are hand made but have an interesting fastener, a screw rather than loops..... Has anyone seen them before????? What is your opinion?????? Mike

The 'screw nuts' look very modern, much like the 'nuts' used on post 1960 South African Army cap badges, so if the badge is Boer War then I would say the fasteners are not original, but in my opinion I would say the whole item is probably more modern than it purports to be. Are you able to attach a picture of the screw posts?
