Staffordshire Yeomanry A/A hard to find Victorian Volunteer Battalion Crown I am unsure due to size if this is a Staff Sgts crown any ideas Warwickshire officers collar Gaunt back stamp Belgian button Unusual trade badge crossed riffles with crown it does not match any Patten in Edwards & Langley's book any ideas? Though is of high quality I believe Edwardian era. 303 rear sight mk3 Sten gun training round and an old pin fire casing. Quite a odd hall together Good hunting Stephen |

Stephen,
Th QVC crown is indeed part of the badge of a Staff Sgt or equivalent, worn over the 3 chevrons on the upper arm. A little too small for the Sergeant Major 's QVC worn on the lower right arm. The Crossed rifle sand crown is unusual, the "narrow" crossed rifles usually indicative of a post WW2 badge of sniper worn with an S above and much copied on ebay, however, yours has an integral KC and looks early and authentic. I can only suppose its a version of the prize or appointment badge. If you choose to part with any of the above two badges please let me have first offer as they are just what I collect. regards
