Yorkshire Dragoons Arm Badge
I picked up this Arm badge at Stratford, the stippling around the centre gives the impression that its white which makes it look like the white rose of Yorkshire, or is it my old eyes playing tricks.
Simple design, very well made now one of my favourites. Malc

Nice one Malc and the "white stipling" effect is something I have seen before - very effective - and its not your eyes....

I agree with the others Malc,
It's a very striking badge, did you show it to me ?? perhaps I had tears in my eyes after looking at your two Herts badges. Take care. Dave.

Dave, overtime you must be joking I tend to shy away from that I enjoy my days off too much. Gordon, the saying early bird catches the worm comes to mind. Thanks for showing your arm badge. Malc

YORKS DRAGOONS ARM BADGE
Malc,
Many thanks for confirming the type of fasteners your badge has. I must admit I'm a little thrown by the pattern of the rose. I have attached 3 different versions I have in my Yorkshire Dragoons collection. 1. Middle East Sand Cast WW2 2. Standard pattern 3. Post WW2 Chromed version. Whilst all members are most welcome to look at my photos could I please ask that non retain any of the images for their own use without my express permission. Cheers, M Last edited by guest123a; 21-07-15 at 06:43 PM. |

Malc, Gordon, Marcus,
Nice badge(s). Is there any reference material on how the arm badge is defined - i.e., the differences between that and a cap badge. Is it down to type of fitting/size? Thanks in advance. Andy C

The arm badge is a lot bigger than the cap badge, it's approxm60mm in height from the base of the rose to the tip of the crown. Cheers, M |
