Default Officer Dress Badge question
Does anyone know if either the DLI or the 8th Kings Royal Irish Hussars were issued with all gilt officers Dress badges..

I have seen 2 items on blades which I am told are original items . The DLI has traces of gilt on the edges of back and the Irish just looks brass finish . If they had been a different finish I would have taken them for OSD badges which the owner is claiming. Both are clean strike heavy badges.

would appreciate any help
