I have to admit I allowed myself a brief chuckle at the name of the airfield ... anything to lighten these 'lockdown' days !!

Thank you for the reply , It seems that is the only thing I can find about him when searching online . Did he survive the war ? Did he stay in the service ? Seems like besides a couple pictures of him online there is absolutely no information about him .

Nothing post war but did find a few more details about his service.
http://www.specialforcesroh.com/show...cDonald-Edward Edit : The last entry is : 1 SAS (A Squadron) 1942-43 (2 Lt - Lt) As the site is "dedicated to the memory of Special Forces from World War 2 to the present who served and died in places and under circumstances most of us can only imagine in our worst nightmares" perhaps they have more information ?
