There remains some sharp practice by some dealers selling 'OTC' badges which are in fact modern CCF badges and therefore still in production today.

These include:

Ampleforth wear the old OTC design in bronzed metal but with CCF title on a red backing.

Barnard Castle CCF wear the double shield badge in gilding metal.

Bloxham School CCF retain their own school design in a very yellow and shiny gilding metal. The CCF's NCOs wears the Rifles cap badge alongside the school badge. http://www.bloxhamschool.com/news-an.../ccf-camp.html

Christ's Hospital Have readopted their OTC badge design in metal. http://www.christs-hospital.org.uk/n...r-army-cadets/

Fettes College The school badge in silver finish.

Glenalmond School CCF CCf retains the old BW VB/ OTC design in white metal.

Kings School Rochester School CCF wear the old OTC design in shiny metal but with CCF title. http://www.kings-rochester.co.uk/CCF-centenary.aspx

Oundle School still wear their badge on peaked caps but with Oundle School title only. A cloth version is worn on the beret.http://www.oundleschool.org.uk/extra...n%20parade.jpg

Portsmouth Grammar School - the most modern ones have Firmin marked sliders. The CCF wore lugged badges in the 60s and possibly later.

St Edmunds Canterbury Today still wear the OTC design with CCF title.

St Edmunds Ware Have commissioned a new CCF badge in the OTC design with the title scroll removed.

St Lawrence College CCF - modern metal with an anodised finish

2 pictures of Sutton Valance badges. The old OTC design and the modern CCF one. The CCF one has a pointed snout and all 4 hooves touch the ground. Dealers please take note!

The school archives show that the WW1 era badge was bronzed but worn with brass tunic buttons.

Alan

I don't know what their stores are like, but some are issued with the RA cap badge, and some with the 'Dulwich' one.

The Gordon Boys School ( Now Gordon's School) have worn the OTC badge in gilding metal and Anodised Aluminium since becoming a CCF rather than an OTC. Change from Gilding metal to Gold coloured Anodised Aluminium was in the late 1960s. So the Anodised version has only been used for CCF. The Gilding metal badge was worn by CCF and OTC.

James thanks for those dates. To be exact the school has never had an OTC and was not part of the OTC movement. As it was for other-ranks it had a Cadet Corps prior to them becoming a CCF.
