Default RCA Battledress Tunic

An interesting battledress tunic to a Home Defence gunner on eBay.

Atlantic Command. I don't recall there ever being a 3rd Canadian Corps.

Hi Mike, There was no 3 Cdn Corps, only 1 Canadian Corps and 2 Canadian Corps. In Canada, Pacific Command and Atlantic Command were equated with a corps for organizational purposes. As a result they wore the diamond shape patch which was the same shape as the overseas corps. The colours used on the corps patches repeated the sequence of colours used for the divisions, so 1 Cdn Corps was red, 2 Cdn Corps was blue , Atlantic Command French gray, and Pacific Command green.
The tunic is a nice example. The lanyard is an unusual colour. Artillery lanyards were usually white.

According to the CSC website, some artillery units did wear lanyards in colors other than white but not many.
