1st Perthshire RV Victorian pouch belt plate 1859-1883.
A fine die-stamped blackened brass example. Finely seeded circular plate with burnished rim bearing the double headed eagle in relief with a scroll inscribed "Pro rege lege et grege"; a shield on his chest charged with Pascal Lamb device. Three screw posts to the reverse. 1st PHRV became 4th Vol Bn Black Watch (RH) in 1887. Ex Hugh King. |
