Default Unknown Merton & Morden 254 Company Insignia

This Merton & Morden 254 Coy insignia was in a selection of Civil Defence badges. Cannot seem to locate any info on Google. Red lettering makes me think of fire service / rescue usually.

Aren't ARP badges red on black also? Perhaps it has some connection there since it was with some CD items.

Unlikely as ARP/CD weren't organised into numbered companies. Wardens were at numbered posts. The number of rescue squads etc even in an area like Morden would never get above a low number.

Thanks L-Clanger,

Good to know, as I collect ARP and CD.
