Default Wessex Volunteers/ Regiment Stable Belts

Hi, with help from a veteran that I met at the 2 Wessex Reunion last year I have hopefully completed my collection of Stable Belts. If any member knows of any others from either Battalion I would be please to hear from them. Kind regards to all.
Neil

Neil,
Excellent collection. Could you describe or photo the fittings/backs of the two Wyverns on the chrome belt plates please? I am assuming each has two short flat lugs?

Neil as you know I was at one time very active in collecting to the ''Wessex ''but have never found a date for when the large 1 st pattern and the small pattern were in use One story that I was told [suspect a very very big fib ]that it was following a car crash and the person involve suffered internal injuries that the small pattern was introduced but more likely to be due to the commanding officer at that time -as with the D &D stable belts widths

David, I have heard the same story about the large buckle being dangerous when driving. As you say it may be a good story. I don't know when the change happened but will ask in the Facebook groups.

The smaller second pattern belt came from a NRPS C/Sgt at Devizes. There used to be sellotape on the slider to stop it moving. I have another buckle that has a big blob of glue on the slider (photo attached)
