Default 86th Hamilton Machine Gun Battalion Titles - CEF

I just picked these up and believe that they must be quite scarce. They are a matching set of shoulders to the 86th MG Bn from Hamilton, Ontario.

The only reference that I can find on the unit shows that they became the Canadian Machine Gun Depot on 22 May 1916.

Can anyone provide more information on this unit and rarity (or not) of these titles?

Thanks,

Geoff

Hi Geoff, Nice find. I'll trade you a cup of Timmies for them next Edmonton Show

They are listed in Harper's Source of Pride pg 94 as being approved 3 Nov 15 683-133-1 Vol 1539.
As to value, I don't know

Hi Jaime,

Thanks for the info. A cup of Timmies? Depending on when in the show, I might take you up on that!

Hello,

They are simply highly collectable due to the fact they are the origin of the MG Corps.

On a good day a pr of shoulder titles $100.00 or more! scarce never the the less! IMHO
